Old News Paper Collection Campaign
Svaraj Old Newspaper Collection has helped Svaraj build a strong support base in Bangalore. Not only has it brought in money, but it has also been instrumental is raising awareness about critical issues of our work in addressing poverty, inequality, access to water and right to food as well on citizens responsibility to protect our environment – Lakes, rivers, land and forest. There is no full time staff dedicated for this fund raising activity. It is successful largely as a result of support from communities who collect their daily newspapers and donate it to Svaraj on a monthly basis. We hope to continue liaising with the public in order to help us with this programme. Corporates, Apartments, Schools and Colleges are donating their old news papers to us.
