Established as a paraplegic care centre, NJK offers quality medical care to paraplegics as well as people with other forms of disability in and around Kutchch region. Center-based social and economic initiates are also being undertaken to facilitate a life of dignity and financial independence

TSUNAMI

To revive livelihoods and revitalize communities devastated by the Tsunami, Svaraj is involved in IT training for young girls and construction of Village Information Centres. The objective is to provide access to information on locally relevant issues and build community capacity to manage the centres.

ARKAVATHI

Bringing communities together on a common platform to discuss, debate and address concerns pertaining to water management including rejuvenation of water bodies , water budgeting and livelihood issues.

CLEANING GANGA

Swatcha Ganga Abhiyan is a project with the objective of raising community awareness and promoting collective action in the cleaning of the river Ganga

FUND RAISING

Svaraj is grateful to the consistent support received from the Indian public. We have an ever expanding, currently 7000 strong individual donor base who contribute generously and regularly. Apart from this, our program and institutional support comes from the SIDA and the corporate sector.

ACTION RESEARCH

Our action research program has taken up the challenges faced by our partner NGOs. The risk and feasibility of organic/non pesticide management of crops has been a common concern from all Svaraj NGO partners. The action research will take up these questions and implement in local conditions.
