Svaraj’s environment programme has been set up to promote action towards sustainable development in the face of threats caused by the climate change to the environment and depleting of natural resources. Svaraj also focuses on the development of natural resource management practices with community participation for food and livelihood security of the poor. Promotion of livelihoods of rural poor is underway, especially in south India.
